SPDI 2200  Latin American Literature in English Translation  (3)

English translations of Modern Latin American literature give students the opportunity to expand their canonical literary knowledge. Short stories and novels originally written in Spanish and Portuguese bring an added dimension to understanding oneself and others from Latin America. An additional focus includes how interpretation and translation are greatly affected by internal and external ideas and experiences. (SSDI)
